Hi there,
We use old thin clients manufactured by Uniterm as our point of sales system. They connect to Windows Server 2008. We need to add some more thin clients to the system but to buy new Uniterms their prices are north of R6k. And I have a couple of these Dell thin clients lying around.
I would like to know if it is at all possible to set the Dell Wyse to immediately open the RDP window on bootup, avoiding the standard desktop. The sales staff will lose their minds if they have to manually click and log in to the RDP daily and we also don't want them messing around with any other programs. The environment we are working in also doesn't allow for the use of a mouse.
Software on the Dell Wyse is Windows standard embedded 7.
Any advice/input will be highly appreciated. Or any recommendations on a reasonably priced thin client that is compatible with Windows Server 2008.
