I'm interested in observations and experience on the following issue:
I once ran a motor car amplifier from a battery with a CD player input, in my home and it sounded really OK to me.
The 4 channel motor car amp was put into bridge mode for max power out and had good specs, with a good damping factor as well.
Anything wrong with this an an audio solution in the home? There is no mains noise on the power supply, which offers high current capacity as well. Battery is recharged when not being used. Plus with a small inverter, the CD player can be kept going during an Eskom holiday.
