Today is the Winter Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere and Summer Solstice In The Northern Hemisphere. Traditionally celebrated by my ancestors in the North (my father?s family come from a small place about a stone?s throw from Avebury or alternately a stone?s throw from Amesbury dependent on the Branch, so we have the Stonehenge and the Stone Circles/ Avenues and Lay lines pretty much covered). Either way, may your land and family be blessed for the coming harvest (yes, I know it?s kind off reversed down here).
I?ll be listening to some folk music and watching the Wicker Man (the original, not that terrible remake) this evening. Possibly! (I did watch ?Children of the Stones? again recently and it still freaks me out).
