Alvin Gold. British  Hi Fi journalist.69.

1980s Audio travellers may remember him ,along with James Michael Hughes,David Prakel and others in mainly Paul Benson's and later Keith Howard's  Hi Fi Answers. Proponent of the Linn Naim axis but iirc also one of the first to leave that cult.

I can't see a suitable emoticon, but I need to take a break to calm down. No words. I saw a glimpse of it on tv last night - in passing, because I do not watch news. Just go to ****** hell.  GOOD RIDDANCE!

And from my younger days - RIP Brian Cant (UK pre-school TV presenter and the voice of Trumpton and Camberwick Green).  Immortalised by HMHB at their referncing best with the line 'We've had Cant conformity since 1966, and now rebellion's in the air in the shape of flying bricks' (Trumpton Riots)

I was still very young during the prime of Stinela but I was crazy about their music. I remember my dad bought a double LP of Stimela Live. I played it repeatedly in my dad's Omega which many youth today would think is furniture. May his soul rest in peace
