Hi all,
I recently began cleaning up an old Pioneer PL12 for my daughter, who seems to be showing an interest in audio and especially vinyl.
I opted for the PL12 because I picked two up for cheap and they were in reasonable condition.
Only once I had almost finished one of them, did I noticed something that totally slipped by me earlier - there is no anti-skate mechanism!
Once I had sourced the correct user manual online, it showed the anti-skate as the fine wire with balance weight but neither of my decks have this unfortunately.
I also cannot for the life of me figure out how the wire would even be fitted to the tonearm.
I would add a pic as an attachment but I can't figure out how.
Can anyone shed any light on this dilemma please?
Much appreciated.
