My suggestion would be to save an extra month or three to get the better gear rather than buying something you might regret or have to sell on later to upgrade.

There it is again.   Yip sometimes it really pays to know where you want to go and buy part of that rather than stepping stones.  Stepping stones cost money. 

Sometimes ones budget falls really just a bit short for a smart buy, ultimately you buy again and loose money on the roundabout.

The Sabre isn't asynchronous per se, it just has an integrated asynchronous sample rate converter. Many other products do the same by chaining an ASRC in series with a regular DAC from BB/AKM/AD/Cirrus.
