With apology to Mr. Sinatra, the following may be of interest to those thinking they have heard it all:
Seen in another audio forum: The proud owner of a McIntosh amplifier had one thing bothering him, viz. that the rather picturesque writing on the 6L6s were pointing away from the front of the unit.
So he studied the matter, and went and broke off the center locating stubs of the octal bases, turned the valves around and plugged them back in with the logos facing him instead of away from sight.
Yes.
When he switch on the amplifiers again - KABOOM!! After composing himself he wrote in to inquire what went wrong ....
The 'reporter' was accused of trolling on the thread - nobody believed that somebody could be that stupid.
