Hi, can I ask the car gurus here for some advice?
I have a 2007 Ford Bantam 1.6i that I bought second-hand about 5 years back. Overall very happy with it, but if the whine that started up yesterday is what the mechanic thinks it could be, then it means I am about to replace the water pump for the fourth time. Luckily this time it has decided to go during its guarantee period, so it'll just be labour costs, but surely there there must be a reason why this is happening?
Previous replacement parts have been GM, and this last one is an Italian make (can't remember name off-hand, but apparently highly-regarded). The car hasn't had any overheating issues, just these frigging water pumps... :fuse:
