I use a Linn LP 12 with basik arm as one of my analogue sources. Have been using a Grado Gold cartridge for a while now. I recently found a Sony VC 8 E moving coil cartridge at a friends clearing out "sale". It is clealry a good cartridge even having a listing on The Vitage Knob (TVK) site. I am not entirely clued up on cartridge - arm matching and need advice about wether this cartridge can be mounted on the Linn Basik arm. It has a mass of 15,5g which seems quite heavy to me - it feels a lot heavier than my other cartridges.
Not too familiar with compliance and other stats related to arms and cartridges and would apreciate advice from more knowledgeable others in this field
