wood working tools

I'm looking at buying some tools to start learning some wood working skills, as I suck at it.

I'm looking at buying a wood router (with all the commonly used bits), cordless drill and a circular saw. I'm planing on buying them individually, can someone provide me some advice on what brands locally or internationality I should get? or just give me some general advice, common sense safety ect.
