Macbook Air / Mac Mini

Hi all. I'm putting together a digital front end based on a Mac machine; wanted to ask if anyone has played around with both the Macbook Air and Mac Mini? What are your preferences? I would use them pretty stock either way (i.e., I won't get a Mac Mini and mod it to hell and back like some have done - changing the power supply to a linear PSU, etc.)
