What was the last Film you watched?
« on: August 27, 2014, 01:46:39 PM »
I've created this thread for members who want to discuss the last movie they've seen, maybe a mini review if you like.

It doesn't have to be the latest movie just anything you've seen recently.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty 8/10

I thought it was a good movie, I like Ben Stiller in more serious roles and the directing wasn't bad. Also I have a thing for Kristin Wiig...

Divergent 2/10

Terrible. Avoid.

Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg - based on a true story, excellent! - 8/10

Anchorman 2 - the first 3 quarters of the movie was hilarious and then all went downhill from there for me... - 6/10

Primal Fear - it was still a good movie after all these years. It was the first time my girlfriend saw it and she enjoyed it. 7/10

Railway man
Based on a true story. Colin Frith and Nicole Kidman give solid performances. You have to be in the mood though as it is not light entertainment but explores the subject of reconciliation to a great extent. 8/10

The latest Transformers... Should give a major workout to your subwoofers  :flame:

The special effects and fast action scenes make it a bit tiring to watch, but good entertainment for when you need to impress non-audiophiles

Finally got around to watching The Guardians of the Galaxy. I think it was a liiiiittle overhyped in some online reviews but I thoroughly enjoyed it  :2thumbs:  Not too much action.....cough cough...Transformers...cough cough....It didn't take itself too seriouely and there was CG-eye-candy galore. I was impressed. Well worth the 3D price  ;D (Vitality helps though)

You should see the original. A true cinema classic, although not really my on taste.

The BIG Lebowski. One of my top films of all time, possibly my most favorite. Jeff Bridges and John Goodman.....star performance. Dunno what it is about this film but I could easily watch this every day

I must say that I've enjoyed this, almost as much as Hunger Games. But that's just me...

The Hunger Games films are pretty good but I just couldn't get into this movie.

The World's End 7/10

It wasn't as good as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz but it had it's moments.

Taking into consideration great audio quality, I believe that Matrix has been the best for me. I played the original dvd a few days agoand quiet enjoyed it. The lobby shooting scene was particularly enjoyable. Picture quality however not so great.

Edge of Tomorrow

7/10

Enjoyed it, possibly helped by me not having a clue what the movie was about. Typical Tom Cruise job.
