I currently building a single ended amplifier closely following the circuit below:
I have built this circuit before, and have always been surprised at how good it sounds. But one thing bothers me.
Resistor R6 is listed as 470K value. For a 6L6GC that is still within specifications, but for a KT88 470K is at the limit. How would the plate load and screen resistor values on the EF86 need to change if I selected a lower value for the grid leak; say 330K or 220K?
