What's up with the weather?

I'm really finding this weather in Joburg quite depressing. When was the last time we had a full week of sun shine? Overseas people used to call us sunny South Africa. At the movement with the weather in Joburg it feels like a Cape Town winter with all the rain and lack of sunshine. At least we don't have the wind    I'm hoping this is not the new normal?
