Decided the Monster cable was too expensive at R70 a metre, so decided to go with regular Ellis speaker cable at R10 a metre, and for the hell of it I bought myself some banana plugs. Got home and tested the Ellis cable compared to the foo wong chicken chow mein stuff. The ellis cable has much thicker copper inners than foo wong, but less insulation. The end result seems to be that I prefer the Ellis cable(listend to an hours worth of songs for each set), it seems more bassy than the Foo wong without compramising much on the treble so that will stay in for now. </p><p></p><p>Anyone got any other links that will be good for reading up on cables? And any local brands(even if they are much more expensive) that are worth a look?</p></blockquote><p></p>
