I'm looking for advice on a general purpose iron for repairs to items like XBox controllers, my kids have broken 4 in 2 years so I've purchased a few spare part but need a decent iron to do the repairs.
I'm comfortable with soldering but would also need a magnifying glass as my eyes are not great over short distances.
Also, what is accepted practice these days with regards to removing solder, a wick or sucker?
I would love a Magnum iron but they're not easily accessible from Qatar, a Wella or similar purchased from Amazon UK is probably best
