I have a pair of vintage Philips RH496 speakers. The drivers are in perfect condition, but the cabs need some work.
So I have two options. I can either restore the original (sealed) cabinets. Or I can go the very popular route and build a pair of open baffles.
I really don't care which option I go with. On the one hand I have never experienced proper open baffle speakers, but on the other hand the cabs I have are in good condition (they only need some cosmetic TLC).
Which do you think I should go for? Either way, this'll be a fun weekend project :rubhands:
