I was thinking the moderators could open a PIF (Pay It Forward) section? Should allow for some interesting items to appear.
For those not 100% familiar with the term, you basically give something as a freebie. But then the person that picked up said item has to give up something of similar value. You'll only be able to pick up an item if you don't have to post an item, or if a posted item has been picked up.
