I got a new AVR (Marantz SR5015) and was going through the calibration steps
During the Audyssey setup, the subwoofer was incredibly soft.
So soft in fact that the setup cannot be completed because the volume is too low.
I've noticed the sub was not very loud before but I suspected it was just set to a low volume on the dial.

Messing around with volume and the various options on the sub and nothing helped.
Volume controls did change the volume but even at the maximum, it was still super soft.

I noticed the cable was not in the best shape so have tried a new cable with no improvement.

Is the subwoofer faulty?
Has anyone heard of a sub getting quieter due to an issue?

The subwoofer is a Bower and Wilkins ASW608.
It's pretty old and has been somewhat neglected and climbed all over by my toddler.

Your advice would be appreciated!
