In your opinion folks, what sounds more immersive? Going from a 5.2.2 setup, should I add two rear-surrounds or should I skip the rear surrounds and go with 2 more Atmos speakers for a full 5.2.4 setup?
In terms of "Atmos" - going for the 5.2.4 setup is apparently the way to go. However, I feel like something is missing from the rear of the sound stage in the room and adding two more rear-surrounds would be better. I'd then sit with a 7.2.2 setup. Seeing as it's a small'ish room, I don't see the benefit of 4 atmos speakers?
