Good day, everyone, I would really appreciate some diagnostic advice re the following problem. I have a Denon X4200w AVR, connected to a 2 year old Samsung smart TV via the HDMI ARC sockets on both units. Up until yesterday, I was able to feed Netflix 5.1 sound through my AVR from the TV output via aforementioned HDMI link. So, on Wednesday evening, great surround sound. On Thursday, I switch on and now I'm getting stereo sound only. I eventually connected the TV with an optical cable to the AVR and changed the sound output setting on the TV from TV speakers to optical output. So at least I'm back to surround sound but why did my system change from 5.1 to stereo?
