I am not interested in knowing from a technical point or specification point of view, but rather from a user perspective. The subjective experience if you will.

Music playback from the Western digitals seems flat somehow. No life in it and no sparkle. I have found the Western Digital's to be slightly faster than the Seagates, however the Seagates don't transfer data as smoothly. I find while using the Seagate that the applications seem to open in a more ragged fashion and the mouse pointer seems slightly larger too. The audio performace is however surprisingly pleasing. Totaly contrary to what I expected.

What are your experiences? What hard drive is the most pleasing to your senses?
