Shiit's also recommend that there DAC stays permanently on. I actually never believed in burn in (and all that voodoo stuff) because I never ever heard a change. But I must say the Shiiits did seem to change after being on for a couple of hundred hrs. It now stays on

:banned: Unfortunately I am not one to do audiophile write up's on products. All I can say is that I don't think it has a sound signature (very neutral), digs deep into the content and plays the details and red book CD's sound close to hi-res files when both fed through the DAC. Hope that helps 

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a raspberry pi.  On a quick look on the net it looks like some or other device I need to install in the computer? If it is, I am not sure I have the technical ability.

It is bigger than I thought. Similar in height and width to my CA 840 CD player. Not quite as deep. Hope that helps. I will post some pics when I get a chance. M
