Hi everyone I have just replaced the carpets in my HT room with good quality wooden floors. At a first listen, it sounds as though I am missing a bit of depth ??? Is this one of the problems associated with a hard floor surface in ones listening room? I am considering a 3m x 2m shaggy rug for the area between the couch and the front area- would this help to dampen things somewhat? Are there any other practical things I can do to improve sound quality? For interest, the room is 3.5m x 5.5m, curtains running down the entire rhs and plain wall on the lhs. One four seater couch with a chunky bookshelf on half of the rear wall.
