Indeed it is. Damn good music, that speaks to the soul. Full of pain & anguish. I buy it. Have bought it. Music is life. It is man's greatest achievement. I cannot imagine a world without music, rhythm, melody, lyrics. Music uplifts, angers, depresses, - it is the expression of the full range of human emotions. It evokes the same within us. I would challenge to add (some? all?) animals to that too. EG: My daughters cat will come & listen whenever there is classical/orchestral music playing. He leaves when I play metal/hard rock. Yet my cat is exactly the opposite. Many folks agree that listening to music helps them study, so why is the taught syllabus not made into lyrics? Look how easily we can learn the words to a song... I cannot imagine how miserable a world would be with no musical expression.
