Music (the music I like) is thrilling to listen to. I can listen to the same piece time and time again and it is always wonderful There is dreadful music to be sure, not to pin labels, but Grunge, Dubstep, Thrash Metal, Sludge Metal to name a few leave me cold. On the other hand Rap is quite imaginative (some of it anyway) Then there is experimental music like Stockhausen. You might find it peculiar at first (some tracks sound like a shortwave radio being tuned) but there are interesting parts. Also modern variants of classical - Bach played on a Moog Synthesizer for instance are worth a listen You don't have to be hidebound on what you feel your preferred genre it. I am fortunate in having 3 friends who are dedicated music lovers and have spent Tuesday afternoons for the past 8 years listening to what they select for the afternoons listening. When its my turn I introduce something more modern and check to see there is not a frown appearing Is this really music and who buys it?
