who says AVR's suck in stereo?

I found this when upgrading from a Yamaha RX-V800 and then looked at the RX-V765 or RX-V1065 as possible replacements. "Age gap" of at least 6 years or so. In this case, the "latest and greatest" units claimed more power from a lower-rated mains transformer and they had less substantial cooling. I then settled for a Marantz (in all fairness it wasn't just about these issues, but also (to me) the Marantz sounded better in stereo.</p></blockquote><p></p>
