*Whoops out MS Word spellchecker* Hit and Miss may be for certain types of enclosures and speakers (especially when going for something like a 8?/1? dome where the power response differs wildly (the reason for the famous 3khz BBC dip), but if you stick to a well proven combination with matching power response (off-axis response behaviour related to radiating area and wave front curvature at baffle aperture) and have the means to control (DSP crossover with EQ, delay, phase, whatever) and set up (measurement mic = R700) and measure such kit there is not too much to go wrong and you can voice the speaker any way you want. And bracing is one thing, 50mm MDF + overkill bracing (one is not constrained by shipping weight) another. The mentioned 8? co-ax (the version available locally uses an even better compression driver, very similar to the one I use on the RCF H100, P.Audio BM-D440) is exceedingly clean in especially the midrange and value for money like little else. I don?t want to force anything on anybody and what may sound like strongly worded argument is actually more like a strongly emotive expression of my view on things, so don?t worry. Martin
