i had an amp that i thought i would keep for life - then life happened - and later i was even forced to sell my flat which had lots of space for Hi-Fi equipment - so i sold everything - all my equipment and now i'm heading in a different direction when it comes to Hi-Fi - so basically i will never have an amp that i will keep for life but i will be starting totally from scratch to suit the very small space that i have - i will probably try to look for very efficient stuff that sounds really good when played very softly and whcih isnt really expensive but i will be concentrating more on Head-Fi equipment i Headphones and related ancillaries for louder stereo listening - but i might get some near field stuff ie some speakers that don't really need to be played loud and a highly efficient low powered but cheapish amp just to have the speaker experience still. since speakers afford a better soundstage and some great imaging (much different from the headphone experience)
