The assumption by the OP is right but he doesn?t imply that every equipment with no remote is stolen. We have had so many forumites being burgled before including myself and we know the remotes stay behind so nothing wrong with such an assumption. I have bought an AVR from a Forumite without a remote but I got reassurance that it was not stolen because of the history the man has in the forum and because of other equipment he owned. I don?t know where my remotes are because I use a universal remote. Contrary to what [member=17259]Morne Coetzee[/member] said that a lost remote may indicate how well looked after the equipment has been. My equipment is badly looked after despite not knowing where the remotes are. Should I sell I may without the remotes but it?s not stolen but a missing remote should create reasonable doubt that the equipment may have been stolen
