[QUOTE="King_Julian_S, post: 1153655, member: 14111"] Most already been said... and I agree. For me my advise to myself would be to stop when I feel the music and that system just calls me to play and play, and dust off all my old media sources and keep hunting for more. When it makes me listen to and enjoy the music, and keeps letting me forget to listen to things about the system. When I can sit off centre or even be busy with something else and having conversations, and yet the music is still wonderful... If I knew this long before, I would have stopped in the 90's with a pair of Allison 9's and a td124 as the core part of that system. I also had a chance to stop at sansui au111, Daan jakobs ref3's and the Jolida valve CD player as the core of another system. Then there was the lowthers and the 2a3 set amp. Shoo, I am sure there was also plenty in between and maybe just simply combos I never bothered to try. On the other hand I guess the above is for those in it for the nusic, hence the most important is to know the priority of the intentions/goals you have. Is it good music, good movies, fancy priced and nice looking gear, or you just simply like playing with the gear and keep changing to see what happens. Do you like listening to the same audiophile test tracks over and over and over? Does good music with bad recordings bother you?, or must it always be very analytical recordings, do you enjoy listening alone when everything is dead quiet and noone else's breathing and smiles disturbs the sound waves etc etc....
