That's exactly what I'm talking about. I dare say that not many store bought systems can do that. Valve Audio isn't exactly run of the mill. On two occasions I went to hi-fi shops in a big retail mall in Pretoria and asked to listen to their best stereo setup. When I asked where the soundstage was, the salesman didn't know what I was talking about. Whenever I see mention of 5.1 and 7.1 systems (centre speaker), I know that they have not heard a soundstage from stereo yet. It's such a pleasure watching movies and series on TV with decent stereo sound. It beats the crap out of 5.1 and 7.1 any day. I have no need for rear speakers, because the sound is coming from where you see the action taking place. Sure, I might miss a few sounds happening at the back when watching movies, but I can live without that. The main use of my sound system is for music anyway. But when watching TV, dialogue is so clear. Soundbars? Really? Get a life and listen to decent stereo for a change. Ok, it ain't cheap, but it will last for years and you'll never look back.
