Yip, we're still living out here in Scandinavia (which is why all the places are so well insulated). It really makes no sense to me either which is why I thought to ask. It's definitely us making the noise (he bangs on his ceiling / our floor every time he feels our foot falls are too "immense") but I have invited him to investigate along with me what's going on, he does not respond (we don't speak face to face, only via e-mail, the other day he actually hid away from my wife and I in a store). I'm thinking somehow his apartment is a bit like a drum. He doesn't hear music, movies or loud conversation coming from our apartment but any physical contact with the floor (walking, vacuum clearner) seems to be really loud to him. I don't know, maybe that's just how it is in an apartment (we have a house in SA) but I don't understand why he'd have this problem with us and us not with our upstairs neighbour.
