I've used Brasso in the past to polish perspex.
Bought a tin today and poured some onto a turntable lid so I could buff it to a mirror finish. Imagine my surprise when it instantly disolved the surface of the plastic.
Well, a few hours later, after going though the waterpaper grades, all was restored, but highly annoying.
Seems the new Brasso has a vert high ammonia content.
