Most people wont know there is no bass if you give them a little swell at 100Hz, especially if it is close to a wall... which is the only place you really put them - you just have to find a way to remove the midrange fudge and preferably make it image better courtesy of real absorbing next to the speaker on the wall... So i think a deep, small baffle speaker right at the wall, will probably fit the bill especially if you have big foam around it... ;) You know those Little samson ipod speakers... they are actually quite decent, except for the tweeter, the midrange is often better than a lot of "better speakers", no real midbass though although a carefully placed and tuned port can sort that, and the low end must just not fudge up the mid. I suppose many people will go for that, for an ipod system as long as they can choose the colour. Not me, but I know those who would although for my desk that'd be nice... P.s. then collaborate with someone to do a lm3886 in a small shiny case that is tuned for LOD input... or a slot on top... ;D Oh ja for a 3" go single driver 4" go fer a two way... you are near as "full" range with a 3" eniewey
