Hi All, I would like mains voltage measurements for our main cities, please. I am particularly interested in Jo-burg, as I get Chinese valve amplifiers to look at, and these invariably only cater for 220V. At 240V in they run on heater voltages of 7V, which is outside tube specs and will shorten life. As a resistor in series with the mains is not a good idea. one can often correct with sub-ohm resistors in series with the heaters, but that is also sometimes unpractical. Strep-down transformers are expensive again. In Pretoria we mostly experience 240V, with up to 248V some nights. Thanks
