I have a preamp that uses 5687 tubes, but finding it hard to get replacement tubes. I see tube converters on Ebay that converts the tube base to take a different tube. 1) Does anyone have any experience using converters?
2) What would be a good replacement tube for the 5687? I was thinking 12AX7 valves? They are readily available not not crazy expensive.
