surfsup, I dont think anyone here can dispute we live in the most beatiful country (except those in JHB maybe ;D) especially us Capeys. I lived in Durbs for 10 years and could not beleive the difference when I got back to CPT, its a night and day difference. On the flip side, a former school friend of mine now lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia for Verizon and absolutley loves it there. Cost of living is dirt cheap, spending power is right up there and of course all the latest tech. We skype often and he says the feeling of security is the main difference. No locking up, no paranoia about his wife and 8 yr old daughter beein raped/mugged or murdered. But he does add that living in what is basically the south, every tom dick and harry owns a shotgun and arent afraid to shoot first and answer questions later. USA's gun laws may be debatable but at least its not only the criminal element that who have them ;D
