Instant gratification for 12k? Let's say, for the moment, that you DON'T get the 804 speakers. You could keep the NAD 720BEE, get 2nd hand B&W CM4 speakers (mint pair going for 6k on AVSA) and add a new CDP, something solid like the Yamaha CD S-700 for about R5,500 : (http://www.techradar.com/reviews/audio-visual/hi-fi-and-audio/cd-players-and-recorders/yamaha-cd-s700-488867/review) Leaving R500 spare for some odds and ends. The CM4s are really special, not 804s of course, but potentially a better match for your NAD, and the Yamaha has an excellent transport, so you can add a top spec DAC at some later stage to up the sound even more. 2c. Out.
