I spent a few days trying different calibration approaches, at the end of the day couldn't beat what Audyssey X32 achieves alone, so left it at that:
5-100Hz (No Smoothing):
5Hz-20kHz (Direct Psychoacoustic):
5Hz-20kHz (Indirect Psychoacoustic):
