Streaming killing the Blu-ray star?

Hi

I am looking at buying a basic Blu-ray player. Much to my surprise I cannot find an entry level Blu-ray player anywhere. Most models seems to be upward of R4k with all sorts of functionality that I dont need/want...

There seems to be some models on various manufacturers websites, but none in stores. Some store even told me Blu-ray players are discontinued...

What happened to the entry level market? Should I blame this on streaming services & Covid?
