My Cambridge AVR's DSP might have done its last bit of processsing. The entire digital circuitry seems to be out of action. At first I was pretty disappointed and already thinking about the cost of repairs, but then last night I listened to Deezer flac via my external stereo DAC and wow.. To my ears it now sounds the best it ever has. I have listened to direct stereo before, but it is almost as if the complete shut down of digital circuitry has provided an even better end result. Which makes me keen to investigate the option of rather getting an external 5.1 digital processor. Any suggestions for real good value for money processors with 6 channel analogue output. No Atmos required. This would mainly be for Netflix and similar streaming services.
