At some point i thought I heard a difference between the 2 speakers,  but then listen again and shrugged it off ( one came across as slightly louder ) but being garage speakers.  I didn't spend too much time worrying about it

Fwd a few years, the time has come for me to sell.

When I can't remove the front grills , removing the back seems to he the way to go to show that drivers ate still original etc.

This is what i found. These speakers have matching serial numbers but the one has a smaller inductor with a 4.7uf and a 3.3uf filter cap for each tweeter while the other has a larger inductor with a4.7 uf cap and I need to look up the reading on the smaller tweeter cap.

I guess serial numbers were only applied afterwards and there was note than one batch qnd they hadn't decided on the crossover yet ? Perhaps they ran out of some filter caps and changed some inductors to compensate ?

I haven't measured the inductors yet , but,  I was thinking of unwinding the one to match the other,  then matching the crossover caps ( I'll replace caps on both speakers to the value of the caps on tge speakers with the smaller inductor)
Is it eveb worth me doing so ?
