Phew ... what a waste of 100 posts! ;D Meaning: The first, most valuable and hopefully most enduring quality of a good electronic engineer (or for that matter most professions) is an inquiring mind. Some years ago when I was still working, a young EE spent 6 months of post-graduate training with me. Man, this guy was a real danger. He attempted most things, judging the success of his endeavours by whether the fruit of his labours blew up or not (and on one occasion taking an expensive 'scope with it). We had a real problem with this guy ...... Today, some 17 years hence .... he is divisional head with one of the foremost international electronic companies in SA and a brilliant professional engineer. And so the examples go on and on ..... My best wishes (I am a retired research EE)
