I went through a similar decision process recently (December). I was looking at the Q950A or Klipsch Cinema 1200 (which is way overpriced at R29k). This was for my man cave, which is a small room at 3.2m x 3.2m (a man must take whatever scraps his wife affords him). In the end I settled on a Denon X3300W AVR (which I managed to pick up mint second hand at a fair price), Paradigm 700F Premier fronts with matching 500C centre (also picked up mint second hand), and Polk T-series rears (bought new for cheap money - performed much better than I expected). Total cost excluding cabling (which I had to spend a bit on) was a few k short of R40k. Components could be done for a lot less and still get good results. But... If your room is relatively small and the use case is HT only, the 950A would probably sound great. My use case was music as well as HT (this setup doubles as a second stereo rig), so for me a soundbar would not have met my needs - but had a second stereo rig not been in the equation, I may well have opted or the 950A or Cinema 1200.. in fact I almost certainly would have settled for either or. Edit: I see your room is 2.4 x 3.1... if your use case is HT only then I reckon the Q950A is probably a better buy as it has the separate wireless rears and upfiring Atmos drivers.
