It has taken over 2 months to finalise the second swap out and I wanted to report back. My TV started switching off again which escalated the necessity to make the exchange happen ASAP. I contacted the retailer numerous times and at one point was greeted with a "kinda busy at the moment, and have other customers, will attend when I can". I left it at that after Month 1 and after nothing had happened after Month 2, I knew I was clearly on "ignore". So I contacted Samsung again, explained the situation and that I have been waiting for the swap out to happen for 2 months, with no backup from the retailer. A real star from Samsung, by the name of William de Beer, authorised the exchange the same day I e-mailed. The old unit was collected this morning and tonight I have a new unit to unpack. I pray this is the end of it, not a pleasant thing to fight for exchanges with a disinterested retailer and having to worry about your unit being out of warranty soon. My sincere thanks to SAMSUNG SA, who are let down only by certain retailers. I'm very happy with Samsung's service and dedication to making sure I am happy at the end of the day i.e. I will be buying other Samsung products in future but will be changing my retailer (unless I am a sucker for punishment..!) So...this is hopefully case closed. Mods can close the topic if required.
