We recently moved into a new place and my wife wants to move our turntable into the dining room, so she's set me on the search for a stereo amp to use with some spare bookshelves (Dali Spektor 1s) I have lying around. Looking around on gumtree I've found two promising listings:

Rotel hifi set

RA-935BX amp, RC-D955AX CD player, RT-930AX AM/FM tuner
R 3500

NAD amplifier and CD player

3020i, Phillips AK721 CD player
R 2000

The Rotel bundle is appealing from a matching and completeness standpoint, although I likely won't use either the CD player or tuner in the foreseeable future. It'll either be vinyl or streaming over a Chromecast audio. The NAD bundle is cheaper and the 3020i has quite a reputation. It is more flexible in terms of controls, pre-out, and built in phono-amp, which is appealing but not crucial. The Phillips CD player definitely does not pass the wife decor test, so it's a complete waste for me. Assuming both are in good working order, what are the forum opinions?
