About a week ago, all caps done! Hope I never have to look at these two drawings again..... (all highlighted components changed, plus about 10 more) Also did the "immortal amplifier" diode mod on the rectifier valve. The diodes are very cheap... Then I was in Moz for a week on a project, so couldn't fire her up until this weekend. Success!!!!! FM works, MW works, PU (= pickup = phono input) works: (obviously you can't hear anything ;D ;D) The magic eye didn't work, but I grabbed the one from the "spare parts" radio and it's working! A bit dull maybe, but still cool So I am very chuffed. I still have some fiddling to do, as I think the bass is a bit boomy. I'll use the signal generator and scope to see if the frequency response is OK. But I should probably try the original speakers first. I'm not going to try align the FM and AM as I don't have the right equipment. Or the knowhow really. The last step then is to restore the cabinet and grille cloth.
