Bit of an update here. This stalled a bit like all my other projects, but I scored a bit of a luck. Someone on Facebook was selling an old Philips radio unit that had been stripped out of a radiogram and put into its own box. I couldn't identify which one it was from the photos, but it looked similar enough and was only R300, so I snapped it up. It arrived today, and seems to have been a good buy. In particular, the output transformer I need to replace looks identical, and seems not to be fried, so that's a big bonus. There isn't as much commonality on the mechanicals as I'd hoped, but there's still lots of useful stuff. Unfortunately the nameplate has come off the back so I don't know what model it is. I've looked a lot on the internet and can't find which one - a Noddy badge for the person who can tell me what it is!
