It's the Emperor's New Clothes. I've always said that if you go off to parents' evening and twelve teachers tell you that your kid is great and one says your kid's a horror, it says more about that teacher than your kid.
The silence of What Hifi about the Wiim Mini is deafening. The little streamer has knocked the BS Node off its perch, makes the Zen Stream look like three times overpriced, in a review against the Auralic Altair G2.1 a $6099 (R109 944,97) streamer, the reviewer could only say the interface on the expensive streamer was better but was very wary of giving it the edge on sound quality. Even the snobbish Stereophile had to give it praise.
And What Hifi? Nothing, Nada, Nyente, Zip!!!
It makes one sick thinking of the tens of thousands or more that people have spent on their recommendations.
It's a fix!!!
